CLOSING TIMES for Death/Funeral Notices 

MONDAY EDITION 

General Public – by 4:00 pm Friday afternoon, and must be prepaid.

The office of Il Globo will be open on Sunday from 11am to 2pm for notices of persons deceased on Friday, Saturday & Sunday.

Funeral Directors – by 2pm Sunday via email. 

THURSDAY EDITION 

Notices must be in by 11:30am Wednesday.

FORMAT AND CONTENTS 

Please ensure that ALL information – days and dates, times, and especially SPELLING of names – is correct at time of submission. 

Il Globo adheres to certain formats, typefaces, sizes, language registers etc: customers should be aware that unusual requests may not be accommodated, and that we have the right to edit texts accordingly.

PROOFS

Proofs will be sent via email for confirmation of spelling and text. 

We do not however send final artwork, due to the layout and formatting of notices are executed in another department just prior to printing. 

TRANSLATIONS

All advertisements will be translated at no additional charge.

Extensive translations will require a committed minimum advertising size. For private notices, prepayment may be required before the translation is prepared.  

PHOTOS

Photos are now available in colour, refer to costing table below.

Please send these via email, as attachments in JPG format with name of deceased.

We also accept photos in hard copy.

Photos are to be supplied in 300dpi at minimum 100% of the column size. 

Take into consideration that photos are cropped. 

CANCELLATIONS, CHANGES OR AMENDMENTS

Please send notification of these via email no later than 11am the day prior to publication. 

COSTINGS

Funeral notice advertising rates are available here.

All prices include GST.

Notices placed privately must be prepaid. 

Digital Publication - As part of the print advertisement your notice will be published on ilglobo.com and lafiamma.com.au to be able to share to family and friends across Australia, Italy and the World. Online advertisements are only available with print ads.

MULTIPLE PUBLICATIONS 

Notices can be placed in one or both editions of Il Globo.

  • 1st edition - Full Price  

  • 2nd (consecutive) edition (within 7 days) - Half Price 

  • These conditions apply provided nothing is added to the notice. 

  • If placement is for two consecutive Monday editions, or two Thursday editions, full cost will apply for each edition.

PUBLICATION ALSO IN LA FIAMMA 

Notices can also be placed in our Sydney based newspaper for an additional 50%. 

ALL SOULS’ DAY SPECIAL INSERT

Memorial notices for the annual special insert can already be booked.

Special price of:

  • $66 inc. GST, for 9 cm x 1 column ($6.60 per extra cm), include free full colour. 

  • $132 inc GST, for 9 cm x 2 column ($13.20 per extra cm), include free full colour.
